| The Publication
Entry System (PES) is now open to enter 2007 publications
information. The closing date for publications entry and delivery
of publication evidence to the Office of Research Services
(Private Bag 01) is 14 March 2008.
To enter publications data
go to the Publication Entry
System. You must be an authorised user to gain entry
to this system.
Changes to PES
Publication categories for 'Major Creative
Works' were added to PES (K3-Curated Exhibitions, K4-Other
Exhibitions, K5-Performance and K6-Broadcast). Also added
to the 'Other Public Output' category O7-Research Report -
Commissioned by Government or Industy.
Reference material
DEEWR (formerly DEST) released the final
specifications for the collection of 2007 publications data
at the end of December 2007, and the UTAS instruction manual
for the collection of 2007 data is now available.
It is provided for download either as a full
set, or in the same format (sections) as previously released
manuals. Not all sections have changed so you may wish to
only download and insert the relevant sections.
WARP implications
- Data entered into PES is now instantly available in WARP.
- New options in PES allow for publications not affiliated with UTas to be entered (use a collection year of Other).
- In-press items can be entered using the current collection year with a publication year of In Press. Once the item is published change the publication year and enter any other details (eg, page numbers).
- Prepress items can be entered similarly to In-Press items.
Use the current collection year and select Preprint
for the publication year. When the item is accepted, change
the publication year to In Press and enter
any other details available. Preprint items will not be
available in WARP. If a preprint item is not accepted it
can be deleted.
