Please note, applications need to be submitted through the university
research office and therefore the submission needs to be made
some time ahead of the posted scheme’s deadline.
For the ARC schemes, the closer it gets to the deadline the more
researchers across the country will be trying to logon to GAMS.
As a result the system becomes increasingly unstable; work can
be lost, people prevented from logging on, and crashes do occur.
The Research Office forwards your submission through the
same system and therefore cannot guarantee that submissions
it receives close to the deadline will get to the ARC on time.
The ARC does not allow extensions of time due to difficulties
with GAMS.
The research office will process submissions as it receives them,
on a first-come first-served basis. In addition to forwarding
the submission to ARC, there are a number of checks that we must
undertake.
While we will make every effort to ensure submission, the later
you leave it the greater the chance that it might not get through
in time. In order to avoid the risks associated with this bottleneck,
we recommend that you aim for submission two weeks before
the deadline.
