the Funding of a Postgraduate Research Scholarship |

| Are you negotiating for funding with an external body? |

| Download and complete the costing
sheet to ensure you are asking for adequate funding |

| Funds need to be accepted by UTas before any offer of a scholarship
is made. When you are negotiating with your external partner,
liaise with the Office of Research Services (Dr
Kay Chung ext 1759) to view the contract template and to
arrange for the acceptance of funds |

| An Alternative |
| |
• Consider the option of a direct donation of money
for scholarships. A donation can be the quickest way to aid
the advancement, development and practical application and impact
of the University’s research in the community. The University
of Tasmania Foundation is an income tax exempt charity and a
deductible gift recipient. For more information see University

• Funds need to be accepted by UTas
before any offer of a scholarship is made.

| Do you wish to negotiate a co-funded scholarship? |
| |
| Download the costing
sheet to calculate the external body’s portion and
to arrange confirmation with the Dean of Graduate Research for
a co-funded scholarship. |
